Founded in 2020 in Kirkland, Washington, Optic8 was born out of a passion for filmmaking and a love for all things technology. Like many others in the industry, we were captivated by the use of virtual production LED volume technology in Disney’s hit show, The Mandolorian.

We set out to build our own volume, and over the next two years we built four of them, and a few LED walls for good measure. We tried every LED panel, every processor, every server, and every piece of software we could get our hands on. We tried every combination of each, until we started to see which products could be used together to achieve optimal results, and which methods could bridge existing gaps in technology. Since then, Optic8 has become a world leader in LED volume and virtual production studio integration, with over a dozen new builds scheduled in the next 18 months.

As the virtual production and immersive spaces industries have grown, we are honored to have worked with some of the biggest names and brightest minds in tech and media. We love dreaming up new ways to inspire and entertain, and we always welcome a challenge.
